Gorgeous Glass House Connects With Its Surroundings Creating a Visual Spectacle

Modern architects and designers are placing as much emphasis on creating beautiful modern homes that stay connected with the environment around them at all times, as they are on sleek and stylish interiors. And in this effort to add visual space and make the exteriors a part of the house, one has seen a growing trend in employing glass extensively and expansively.

This stylish home located in Ramat Hasharon — a city on Israel’s central coastal strip in the south of the Sharon region — is all about living it up in an ultra0cool fashion. Designed by Levy-Chamizer Architects, the home does its best to ensure that the lines between the exterior and the interior are blurred by using floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

Rich Mid Century Retro Home In Los Angeles

Los Angeles, California is home to so many classic, mid-century modern homes– and the Meyerhofer Residence isn’t a whole lot different, except for its completely retro vibe. The 4480 square foot abode in the Flintwood area of L.A. is almost surreal. Designed byOsborn Architects about 5 years ago, this home is teeming with mid-century sophistication.

There’s a superb eclectic collection of found goods, exquisite furniture and rich colors throughout; and the wood paneling on the walls in the various rooms is in top notch condition. From the artichoke pendant to the driftwood furniture pieces and supple leather– this home isn’t lacking in any area. Via: Enpundit

The Exotic African Interior From Kenya

What is the most exotic continent in the world? Nowadays, when Japanese sushi-bars are in every town of Europe and America we can say that it is Africa. The house you are seeing is in Kenya. But if you really want to create your own Africa at home, you can do it wherever you are!

The important feature of real Afro-style is the contrast of light and dark. Sandy floor, whitewashed walls, dark doors, and décor elements such as masks and imitated game heads. These masks are original and made in Tanzania and Zaire, so decorating your dwelling you can use any souvenirs brought from voyages or bought in a shop. Sure, the last ones won`t be certainly made in Africa, but it might not matter to you at all. Perhaps, you will like the ceiling boarded with halves of logs.

Living Room Style: Mario Testino’s Spectacular Design

Saying that what you’re about to see is a wonderfully designed living room, is nothing but an understatement. This is so alluring! This is spectacular, it’s gorgeous. Mario Testino is a great photographer, but it looks like he has great taste when it comes to interior design as his living room has attracted everyone’s attention with its artistic look and the fact that everything is placed right where it should be placed.

There are so many things we could learn from this room. Probably, first of them is that you are allowed to play with color — definitely love the color combination in here. The white, black and rusty shades are amazing and a combination of them may work well on your living room, too.
